Mulberry's non-standard message id (of the form <longuniquestring@[local.machine.ip.address]> rather than <longuinquestring@…> confuses spam fighting. The mismatch between Message-Id and sender/reply address is characteristic of spam. The use of a dotted quad address is characteristic of spam. I can't even get messages i send to myself without substantially compromising my spam filters. No other mail I get has this atypical Message-Id header format (I guess none of my correspondents use Mulberry).

Is there any way to fix this? it seems to be a substantive flaw that has generated quite a bit of dissatisfaction among many users.
