Multipart-signed PDF Attachment crashes with GPG-Plugin

Reported by: endresct Owned by: Cyrus Daboo
Priority: major Milestone: unassigned
Component: Plugins Version: v4.0.8
Severity: Crash/data loss Keywords: GPG Plugin
Cc: Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP Pro SP 2

Description

Verifying a message crashes Mulberry 4.0.8 with GnuPG 1.4.7 under Windows XP SP2 if

  • it contains a PDF attachment
  • the entire message including the attachment is signed
  • the signature is an attachment itself:
    Content-Type: multipart/signed; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; micalg=pgp-sha1;
Option "MIME Multipart Security with PGP" in Mulberry

This happens with Mails sent using

  • User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; de; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070326 Thunderbird/2.0.0.0 Mnenhy/0.7.5.666
    X-Enigmail-Version: 0.95.0
  • X-Pgp-Agent: GPGMail 1.1.1 (Tiger)
    X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.752.2)
  • X-Mailer: Mulberry/4.0.8 (Win32)

It does not happen with trivial PDF files. The Attachment to this bug report is a Mailbox containing an offensive message.

Errorlog.txt and Pluginlog.txt only contain start messages, nothing about the crash. I can send CrashDump?.txt upon request.

This seems to be the same bug as #188 "Non trivial PDF" might read "big" :-)
