Description

At present, Mulberry has simple rule-based filtering, and can use server-side SIEVE filtering.

For spam-detection purposes, direct user interaction is helpful. It helps train and improve the spam-detection heuristics while reading mail.

To do that, for example by integrating with the excellent SpamSieve, there needs to be some hook to add message inspection (with actions) upon (full) message retrieval, and ideally also some or other generic feedback mechanism.

A simple filter to invoke an external command on messages fetched may already do the trick; some AppleScript? hooks may make this even easier and more elegant.

Yet as far as I can see this mechanism is lacking entirely. This, however, is the major issue stopping me from moving away from MailSmith? - a wonderful mailer, but POP only. Losing spam filtering entirely isn't that good an idea these days...
